Oregon-Washington 100% Access Summit

Community-Created Solutions to the Health Care Crisis

Policymakers and Communities Working Together

November 17, 2005 ~ 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The 100% Access Summit will convene policymakers and other public and private health care stakeholders from Oregon & Washington in order to improve access to health services.

Host this event if:

You are an elected official whose constituents are concerned about the health care crisis
You are a government administrator who is committed to improvements in health and health care
You are a local leader who values community-created solutions and is dedicated to improving the health of your community

Host expectations:

You are committed to improving access to health services
You actively participate in the 100% Access Summit, to request and offer solutions that result in improved access to health services
Your organization/individual name and logo may appear in future communications

100% Access Summit hosts and participants will:

LEARN

Realize the assets and outcomes of community-created solutions and how to build them into a powerful portfolio of activities to achieve 100% access in the next five years
Explore how to use community-created solutions in order to save payers’ money
Celebrate the significant Return on Community Investment (ROCI) resulting in better health for more people at less cost

TAKE ACTION

Create a plan for better leveraging local, state and federal resources to take community-created solutions to the next level of sustainability
Join congressional staff, state legislators, and county officials to identify and commit to strategies that better leverage local, state and federal health care resources
Commit to concrete strategies to stimulate community-created solutions to the health care crisis
