ADVANTAGE Health Solutions Volunteers in Health Care Coordinated Care Network

Learn what a full access pharmaceutical system looks like. Develop a pharmaceutical access enterprise that is sustainable and able to support a community-wide safety net. Achieve both cost savings and improved health outcomes. Take action! Be part of a learning community changing the way pharmaceuticals are accessed.

The Institute will:

  • Provide access to faculty with expertise in implementing successful programs;
  • Establish peer support in a collaborative team environment; and
  • Organize access to ongoing technical assistance.

You will learn how to:

  • Develop the partnerships necessary to make this plan happen;
  • Combine pharmaceutical industry programs, bulk purchasing arrangements, and other strategies to obtain the medications needed for the lowest price;
  • Develop a community-wide pharmaceutical access action plan;
  • Develop a cost-effective formulary;
  • Account for pharmacy regulations that may affect your program;
  • Use available software, web sites, and other tools to increase efficiency;
  • Evaluate how well you are meeting your goals and objectives
  • Develop a return on community investment strategy to make your pharmacy enterprise sustainable.

You should attend this Institute if you are:

  • A pharmacist, physician, nurse or other clinician committed to increasing access to pharmaceuticals;
