Christopher S. Holliday, PhD, MPH - Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Holliday serves as Chief Executive Officer of CJA and is responsible for executive leadership, strategic planning and implementation fund development,  and developing critical partnerships at the national, state, and community levels for Communities Joined in Action. Dr. Holliday has more than 20 years of experience in innovative leadership and management experience in population-based public health , primary healthcare, and non-profit settings.  His work has focused primarily on underserved and vulnerable populations, and those at highest risk for chronic diseases.

Dr. Holliday brings nearly a decade of experience in community-based processes, including community mobilization, community organizing and coalition-building. Most recently, Dr. Holliday worked with the DeKalb County Board of Health for over 12 years as a division director within Community Health and Prevention Services.  Dr. Holliday is trained as a community psychologist and behavioral scientist, and is the founder and principal of Community Speaks, a private consulting firm specializing in community-based participatory research.  Dr. Holliday has worked for years in community engagement and facilitation. With a focus on social justice, his asset-based community development approach and theory of member engagement has yielded substantial success in community empowerment.

He received his Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Ph.D. degrees in psychology from Northwestern and Georgia State Universities and his Master of Public Health degree from Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health.

 


 

Lindy Vincent - Program Director

Lindy Vincent currently holds the position of Program Director and Member Services Coordinator for CJA. Ms. Vincent coordinates and organizes CJA technical assistance calls, learning institutes, conferences, maintains active list serves, supports CJA members, and maintains financial records,. Ms. Vincent is also responsible for supporting the website(www.cjaonline.net) that facilitates the exchange of ideas and networking among CJA’s non-profit community health collaboratives.  Ms. Vincent has over 30 years of experience in healthcare administration, beginning her career as the HMO department manager at The Corvallis Clinic in Oregon.

Ms. Vincent assumed increasing responsibility in clinics and hospitals roles serving at various times as the Director of Operations for a PHO, Director of Managed Care for two large multi-specialty clinics, and Director of the Business Office and Admitting for a large hospital. In 2003 Ms. Vincent shifted to the non-profit world of healthcare when she took the lead administrative position at CJA. Now serving as an advocate for community-driven strategies to improve health care for the underserved and eliminating health disparities, she has often said that she finds this new work of supporting and encouraging grassroots efforts to be very challenging and rewarding. Ms. Vincent received her B.A. from the University of Washington in Psychology. She currently lives in Olympia, Washington with her two daughters.

 


 

Annette Pope, MPA - Assistant Director, Georgia Health Policy Center

Annette Pope joined the Georgia Health Policy Center in December 2008.   Annette coordinates the Center's proposal development and strategic planning processes. She is responsible for managing administrative and human resource functions including staff development and training.  Annette also coordinates efforts to brand and market the Center to increase new opportunities.  Annette provides support and guidance in proposal development and her financial skills to assist the operations of CJA.

Annette has an extensive background in program planning and development, management, fund development, and public relations. Prior to joining the Center, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Camp Fire USA, Georgia Council and Chief Operating Officer of Cool Girls, Inc. Annette has more than seventeen years of experience in youth development, housing, homelessness and health care. Prior to relocating to the Atlanta area in 1998, Annette worked for a regional planning organization in Washington, DC where she served as program manager for a $4 million housing demonstration grant. Annette earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Miami University of Ohio and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of the District of Columbia in Washington, DC.

 


 

Kimberly Bass - Senior Administrative Coordinator, Georgia Health Policy Center

Kimberly Bass is the Senior Administrative Coordinator with the Georgia Health Policy Center. She is responsible for providing support to the entire GHPC team along with supervising the student staff. Kim also assists with proposal development, certain human resource functions, and helps to coordinate staff training, travel, and provides general administrative support to CJA and to the CEO.

Kim has been at Georgia State University since 2006 and most recently worked in the Housing Department as Senior Administrative Coordinator in the University Commons. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Management from Troy University.
