Alfreda Rooks, Director Community Health Services, Michigan Medicine

Alfreda has leadership for the UMHS programs that interface and provide services to the community. This ranges from providing services to Seniors via programs such as the Housing Bureau for Seniors and the Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels Program; to adolescents via the Regional Alliance for Health Schools, several school based health centers, and language assistance for limited English proficient or hard of hearing through the Interpreter Services program. The Program for Multicultural Health, using evidence-based approach, provides education for faculty, staff, students, and the community on culturally competent and culturally appropriate patient-centered care while working to improve health equity.
