Jamie graduated from EWU with her bachelor’s in social work. She worked in various non-profits and became increasingly interested in the justice involved communities, which led her to work with Airway Heights Correctional Center on a large-scale behavior modification project. Jamie then moved to Chicago where she worked with parole and re-entry and the Cook County Jail, while simultaneously earning her MSW from Loyola University Chicago, specializing in organizational management and non-profit development. Jamie returned to Spokane and became the program manager of the Spokane Fire Dept. CARES Team. Most recently, Jamie was with EWU in the School of Social Work as the Field Director, where she placed future social workers in their practicums, developed field curriculum, and taught. Outside of work Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and is currently navigating living tiny with her family and two animals.
